What resolution and refresh rate can you get on a Mac?
On a Mac, a Kuycon monitor runs at its full native resolution over a single USB-C cable. The exact numbers depend on the model and on your Mac, so here is the complete picture.
Native resolution, model by model
The G27P and P27Z are 27-inch 5K panels (5120 x 2880), and the G32P is a 32-inch 6K panel (6144 x 3456). That works out to 218 to 223 pixels per inch, the same Retina density as a MacBook screen, which is why text stays razor sharp.
On a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 and later), all of these run at their full native resolution with no driver to install. Recent Intel Macs are supported too, generally at 5K or 4K depending on the graphics.
Refresh rate depends on the model
The G27P runs 5K at up to 75 Hz, the G32P runs 6K at 60 Hz, and the P27Z reaches 5K at up to 180 Hz (and 330 Hz at 2K). For everyday work any of them feels crisp; the P27Z adds noticeably smoother scrolling and motion.
macOS reads the display automatically and lets you pick a scaled resolution if you want larger text without losing sharpness. Because the density is Retina-class, enlarging text stays clean rather than turning blurry.
