What these four comparisons have in common
Three of the four monitors we are most often compared with are 27-inch 4K models: the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE and the BenQ PD2725U. At that diagonal, a 4K displays 163 ppi. The G27P displays 218 — the density for which macOS applies 2× scaling with no interpolation.
It is the most visible gap, and the one most often underestimated at the moment of purchase. It is judged in ten seconds in front of a page of text, and not at all on a spec sheet.
The other two, the LG UltraFine 5K and the Samsung ViewFinity S9, do play in the same resolution category. There the comparison shifts to contrast, brightness and price.

What these brands do better than us
It would be easy to list only our advantages. Here are the cases where one of these four monitors is objectively the better choice.
- You need a network hub: the Dell U2723QE includes an Ethernet port and very generous USB connectivity. If your workstation has to replace a full dock, it does that job better.
- You change colour profile ten times a day: the BenQ PD2725U offers dedicated modes and a physical control dial. That is real comfort in graphics production.
- You want a built-in camera: the Samsung ViewFinity S9 has one, in 4K. None of our monitors does.
- You are on an older Thunderbolt Mac: the LG UltraFine 5K has the longest compatibility history with Apple machines.
The criterion nobody highlights
After-sales service. Our monitors are shipped and supported from Europe, with the statutory 2-year warranty. At the major brands, the procedure often goes through an authorised centre and delays nobody tells you about when you buy.

Why compare a 5K with 4K monitors?
Because those are the monitors buyers look at side by side, at a similar budget. The density gap — 218 ppi against 163 — is precisely the point the comparison is there to make visible.
Is a Dell or a BenQ better made?
They are serious professional monitors, generally in quality plastic. Our recent models use a machined anodised aluminium chassis, with thin bezels of equal width.
Which monitor should I choose if I need an Ethernet port?
The Dell U2723QE, which includes one. Our monitors offer a USB-C hub but no network port; it is a case where a competitor answers the need better.
Are the warranties comparable?
Our monitors have the statutory 2-year warranty in the European Union, with shipping and support from Europe. Some brands offer longer paid extensions.
Is there a camera on Kuycon monitors?
No, on no model. If a built-in video-call setup is a criterion, the Samsung ViewFinity S9 or Apple's monitor answer better. Otherwise, you do not pay for hardware you already have.
